About Krispy Kreative

HISTORY

Krispy Kreative was "kreated" in 2019 by longtime broadcast Creative Director Chris Pelczynski. (That's me - OK, now switching to first person...)

I've had a rewarding two decades in broadcast design; the majority of that time at ESPN, in both Bristol, CT and Los Angeles, CA. At ESPN, I led the creative for some of ESPN's most well-known brands, including SportsCenter, NBA Countdown, NFL and SportsNation, as well as international programming. I am humbled to have been recognized for my work by my peers with 9 Promax/Broadcast Design Association awards and 2 Sports Emmys.

While I have enjoyed success in many corporate leadership positions, I have also personally explored ancillary opportunities in digital, social, advertising and illustration. This creative thirst ultimately led me to realize that I yearned to be more hands on, and to explore more mediums and platforms.

The next step was starting my own design business. Sure, I could have become a freelancer and left it at that, but my years in design leadership necessitated that branding and organization was a must! And Krispy Kreative was born.

WHAT WE DO

Though broadcast design is an obvious strength, Krispy Kreative can execute in numerous mediums and styles, for projects as large as a corporate rebrand, or as small as a company Christmas card. (We've done both). We have handled logos & branding, motion graphics, interior graphics and signage, illustration of all kinds, social media, print ads, product packaging, branded apparel and more. Let's chat about your creative needs!

KRISPY PHILOSOPHY

As the header indicates, we love unique projects and unique clients. Our goal is to find an unexpected solution that is tailored specifically to your brand and not to rely on safe boiler plate design cliches. If you ask, we'll give you the expected executions as well - even if we do try to to talk you out of them.

Krispy executes global-level creative, but you'll be spared the high-brow designy "art-itude." (Yeah, we hate that, too!) Clients generally know their market and needs better than anyone, and the more we truly listen and react to them as partners, the better work we produce.

Design doesn't have to be a drag. Krispy Kreative will do its best to make design fun again!

COLLABORATION PROCESS

This can vary by size, scope and nature of job, but a guideline:

1. Krispy schedules a conversation to discuss needs and scope.

2. Client provides detailed deliverables list, all required assets, copy, etc.

3. Krispy generates a quote, works with client to an agreement.

4. Krispy generally invoices 50% of costs at this point, and 50% upon completion.

5. Krispy generates timeline, with check-ins. Timeline generally consists of:

1. Phase 1: sketches

2. Phase 2: 1st revisons

3. Phase 3: 2nd revisions

4. Phase 4: final delivery

6. Krispy invoices the remainder of the costs.

7. Happy client sends payment within 30 days!

8. Repeat.
