NBA COUNTDOWN
Done while Creative Director at ESPN.
I oversaw the creative for ESPN's NBA franchise, NBA Countdown, from weekly monitor environments to new franchises and sponsored elements. This includes hands-on design. As hosts and content have changed, we have evolved the visuals from dramatic storytelling to fun and vibrant.
Custom images in our animated monitor wall. The idea was to treat each subject as new experience, and having the imagery set the environment, rather than relying on templates.

Each player gets a custom treatment in these personal segments.
My idea was to bring fun and interaction to the show by integrating a nostalgic toy into a segment involving NBA legend Magic Johnson. I also designed and created the table/ball prop.
My concept was a holographic player in studio. Created and animated in VizRT.
Entirely virtual, used as a bump back from commercial. My concept was a stadium feel inside the studio.
